Question about 2000 Pontiac Bonneville
Your solenoid could be shorting out or worn out. They lights will look bright, but as soon as you crank motor, the lights dim. Or if your battery cable connections are not metal-to-metal contact, they will do this as well. Many GM's, especially bonnevilles, have the rubber ends on end of battery cables, These rubber ends prevent a tight metal to metal connection. I had to use washers on two bonnevilles I worked on.
