Got 2000 buick regal that turns over but wont start

You need to first check the fuel pressure, an easy way to see if fuel is being injected is to buy a can of Spray starting fluid from a hardware store or auto parts store, spray the fluid into the engine air intake while cranking the engine, if the engine starts and then quickly dies you have a defective fuel pump most likely. If that is not the problem you need to use a OBD2 system fault code reader and read the engine control computer (called the PCM) fault codes, you can borrow this scan tool from most chain auto parts stores with a deposit. Once you have the fault codes just google them to see what possible parts can cause them.

1989 Buick intermitent engine problem Buick Regal 3.1 V6 8th vin. T in nostart condition no fire @plugs no fuel pressure when cranking . Replaced : crank sensor ECM Ignition module ignition switch...

You did'nt say if you have had the car (Scanned) to see if the engine control Module has stored any fault codes. You say it runs 20 miles or so before it quits. After cooling does it alawys start back up? What have you been doing to get it running again? The ECM can warm up and quit. It'll get an Troblem code about though. The no spark at the time sort of removes the Cat converter overheating and the ingtion Module ( (the coils are mounted to it). Something getting too hot is likly. Crank sensers and cam sensers both wil do this the crank senser is on the back of the block just above the oil pan. The cam sewnser is underneath the power steering pump and the connector going to it is on top of the front valve cover on the passenger side. Crank sensers will not code and still be bad. Computers if they come back on ever they will code most any problem and the code name is Quad driver failure.

CHECK FUEL PRESSURE IT SHOULD BE 41 - 47 PSI. IF NOT REPLACE FUEL FILTER.IF NO CHANGE. REPLACE FUEL PUMP.IF FUEL PUMP IS GOOD.YOUR PROBLEM COULD BE A INTAKE LEAK OR SPARK IGNITION PROBLEMS.ALSO USE A SCANNER TO CHECK FOR FAULTY SENSORS OR THEFT DETERENT PROBLEMS.

Buick Regal dying

You have a problem in the fuel pump relay circuit for sure then. I'm betting the relay, but it could be that dropping resistor.
