Check the blower resistor and the wiring at the connector to resistor its located next to blower motor, they have problems with the connector to risistor bruning and melting, il bet that your problem , start there good luck.

Yes the power goes from the ignition switch to the fan switch.My guess would be the blower motor resistor is going bad. Check for a melted wire connector at the resistor.

Blower is not staying on. When I start the truck it will come on for 1 or 2 seconds then immediately cuts off. When it cuts off, I can turn the ignition off and then back on and its the same thing....


The blower motor is most likely the problem.When it goes off,bump the blower motor with your hand to see if it starts back,if it does,the blower motor is bad.

Most likely culprit is the blower control module/ resistor. It is the part that controls the blower motor speeds.

Could be the lift pump, common problem on the 2004. There is a fix for it called an in tank lift pump conversion. Ask your dealer or check online.

The wire that connects to the ignition switch that goes to the A/C blower fan is misplace upon connection.And its not grounded to any other lines.

Blower motor makes loud noise when on high


I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 with the same problem, vibrating blow fan when on high, pulled the blower fan out and found a piece of the hinge from the recirculation door and felt the recirculation door sitting up on the vent of its hinge. Crappy engineering once again.
