It is not starting when cold since the cold start valve is not functioning. 1-It could be a coolant temperature sensor gives a wrong resistance readings when it cold so ECM doesn't know to send a signal to turn on the cold start valve. 2- It could be a bad cold start valve. I doesn't open even the ECM send a signal to it to open. You can see that Ohm reading on the terminals of the cold start valve is good, but it is still bad since your measuring the coil to open a valve showing the coil is good but valve gets stuck could not be opened. Good luck in checking these out for a good replacement..

I got a 1991 chev lumina 3.8 car i have a miss in it that i cant find u can start it up dont miss drive it five six miles clear up dont miss a lick then it start missing cut off a little while start it up...

You could have a bad injector, ohm the resistance of each one. they should all match. I am thinking maybe 14 ohms but could be wrong, check specs for your car. you need to at least narrow down which cylinder then check for spark on that cylinder while the miss is happening. some of these 3.8 engines would melt the plastic intake manifold at the egr passage and leak coolant into the cylinders, are you losing coolant?

When it gets really cold out the jeep wont start.

First thing you want to do is check you spark plugs. They do make a world of difference. New plus will start just about any cold car. If the plug and the plug wires, (which also determines factors) are both good, then you may have a faulty cold start injector

2004 Hyundai Terracan, 2.5 turbo diesel, manual. Will not start cold. Once I get it started, it runs and starts perfectly, with some heat on the engine. Error Code P0110, I replaced the air intake...

right renew the glow plug timer/relay if you put a meter on the glow plugs when cold and turn ign on (with help) it should supply power for a about 20 secs ,time depends on outside air temperature ,if all else fails then do a colin --- use a push button switch, wired to a relay so glow plugs can be operated by pushing the switch which you will mount on the dash ,cant beat a manual overide system

Audi a8 4.2 quattro from cold perfect as it gets warmer starts hessitating if you go full throttle it missed hessites and drives awful

Do you have a check engine light? Even if not, I'd bet on the primary O2 sensors (the ones on each exhaust header closest to the engine, before the catalytic converter). They have to be warmed up to work. While the car is cold, they're ignored and the car runs on preprogrammed fueling maps. Once they warm up, they are used to control fuel delivery. If they're bad, the car will run very rich, which hurts power, kills fuel mileage, fouls spark plugs, etc. I'd suggest a pair of new primary O2 sensors, a new set of spark plugs, and doing a Seafoam treatment on the engine's vacuum system (go to and use the search feature to see how to do a Seafoam service - it's easy and helps a lot).
