Make sure you have plenty of break fluid in the reservoir. take it to reputable garage and make sure the mechanic know how to bleed ABS correctly and see you may have air in the systems. Once the air is in the systems its very difficult to remove the air. if that don't work, check abs sensor and the unit it self may be faulty. if you have to replace it, check ebay or junkyard for a replacement.

1999 ford expidition abs light comes on

This is going to be one of your abs sensors at one of your four wheels (if equipped with all four). On the ford I believe you have to replace the hub and with that comes a new pigtail to connect to your abs. Not a mentally hard fix but you will learn some new words getting the parts off to replace it.

4wd light flashing

When the light flashes it's generally a sign that it's not fully engaged hi or low and or stuck partially in either position. I would say it's the force motor that physically moves the linkages in and out of position is going bad. It should be able to be scanned by a tech and give you a code.

The low fuel light is on but even after putting gas in my 1999 Expedition, the fuel gauge still shows low fuel. What is the problem? how much gas is in the tank?

First the problem is caused by a defective fuel level sending unit, that is located inside the gas tank, the gas tank must be removed to access the part for replacement. As to the how much fuel remains there is not way to know this.

I just put new pads on all the way around. ABS light still comes on. What is the first thing I should check? Brakes work, but feel soft.

The pads have absolutely nothing to do with the ABS light coming on. The first thing you should do is to scan your Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) to find out why it has turned the light on then diagnose accordingly.

I have a 1999 Ford Expedition and if I am not mistaken, a 4.6 L engine. I been hearding a whining when I drive. Little by little the whining noise is lasting longer and longer. I did add transmission fluid...

hi from the symptoms you clearly describe this sounds like you have one of the front wheel bearings worn out hence the wheel is allowed to run out of line and so also the hub that encases the w/bearing also allows tilting of hub which will affect the abs sensor may i strongly suggest you have this checked/replaced ASAP and do not drive unnecesarily untill fixed for obviouse reasons the whining you hear is the bearing rotating dry and eventually wear and lock up/burn up locking wheel rotation ???

ABS light on 1999 Fored Expedition

There is a problem with the ABS (Anti-Lock Brakes). Unless you have the knowledge to diagnose and repair this problem I suggest you seek help from a trusted mechanic or your Volvo dealer. Your ABS may not be working correctly but your normal brakes will still work.

Sounds like you need new rotors or breaks on your car, have they been inspected or changed in the last service? Probably worn down to the point your breaks are grabbing.

Also could be the automatic transmission giving out, due to worn bands and cylineders.
Could invest 100$ in a tranny flush with synthetic oils, exp if miles are high, 100,000 +
