Question about 1999 Dodge Durango
Hmmm.......well off the top of my head I would like to say that the crankcase takes 5.5 us quarts of oil....BUT.....LET'S do it this way.....drain the engine oil....remove the old filter.....reinstall a new oil filter hand tight with a little bit of oil on the gasket to prevent binding....then reinstall the drain plug...now.......add five quarts of oil to the engine....start it up for a brief 10 seconds...then turn it off.....let it sit for a quick second and check the oil level(be sure it's parked on a flat surface) then simply add oil accordingly...if it is alittle low.......then add a quarter of a quart at a time to prevent overfilling...the max oil fill line will appear on the dipstick so you know you can't niss it... HOPE I HELPED!!!
