If it will not take the code, then you are using the wrong code. The radio will lock up after a set number of attempts. Disconnect the battery for 1 hour and then reconnect it. Drive the car for around 1 hour and the radio will then accept the codes again. Go to the web site of the manufacture and sign up on the Owner's link. There, with the VIN # you may be able to get the correct code.
