Question about 2002 Dodge Durango
Leaky antifreeze is one of my pet peeves........let's hope that this radiator was leaking due to age....not head gasket failure......The correct way to do the leak repair would be to either replace the radiator or solder it...repair it. If you have the mechanical knowledge of performing a block test then by all means do it before you invest any thing else into it. if not then have a shop do a block test(to test for a failed head gasket) If the block test passes with flying colors then its time to replace that radiator. If you can do it yourself GREAT!!!! make sure ya flush that system also!!! If you can't afford a radiator right now a temporary fix is called Bar's leak...sold at autoparts stores....seals up smaller leaks and such fairly nicely.....but don't think its a PERMANET repair.... well....HOPE I HELPED!!!!
