Check the heat temp. control pot under the hood inline on one of your heater hoses, it may be stuck. there should be a small lever sticking out of it that you should be able to move with minimal resistance. if it is sticking you can prolly free it by using p.b lube and gently working it back and forth. if it is not stuck check the vacuum hose going into it by having someone in the car adjust the temp selector from cold to hot and back a few times while you block the end of the hose with your finger, you should be able to feel the suction when the selector is moved. if not,the vacuum line may be dryrotted wich should be fairly easy to check visually, barring these two things either the switch is defective or your coolant level is too low to push adaquite hot water thru the heater core, make sure coolant level is proper, if it is then the switch most likely is bad

The heater valve which located behind the dash is not open fully to allow hot antifreeze from the engine to flow fully to the heater core. the heater valve tend to go bad over year due to exposure to heat. the inner valve made of hard rubber, is either seized some what partial way and the valve is not open fully. the heater valve is fairly cheap to replace however to get to it is a task which tearing the dash apart.

After changing alternator in 95 cadillac deville the heat doesnt blow at all

The alternator does not have anything to do with the blower fan for heat. You may have unhooked a wire by mistake, or you have a blown fuse. God-Bless!

Radiator fan not working. Water sensor. Bad radiator. Fan fuse. No power to d fan. Etc.

I Have a 95 deville , replaced thermostat and have heat only when engine RPM ran up , nothing on idle speed. Whats up?

Either you are low on coolant or you still have an air pocket in the system after you replaced the thermostat.

With the engine cold remove the radiator cap. Top off the radiator if low. Start the engine and allow to warm up at idle, topping of the coolant as necessary. Once the thermostat has opened, the upper hose will get hot. Snap the throttle a couple of time. This will help force coolant into the heater core and push out the air. Once the cooling fans come on replace the radiator cap.

Raise the engine RPM'S to about 2,500 and hold it until there is sufficient heat out of the vents. Let the engine idle, Id there constant heat? If not snap the throttle a couple more times and then raise the RPM's up again.
