My ABS light comes on and goes off in my 2005 mariner. I sometimes notice a grinding sound and can feel the brake pedal shake when turning left or right. Only when the light is on.

check the hub/wheel bearing and your brakes the abs is part of your hub assembly and if hub damaged or failing will affect the abs system --also check the sensor and wiring sometimes debris damage the wire but with grinding and shake most probable is hub and a brake job

Abs light on/grinding and clunking in turns on front left side of 2003 ford explorer

Sounds like left front loose wheel bearing knocking ABS sensor out of range causing ABS light to come on and causing grind noise at same location. Grinding noise is probably rotor rubbing on calipar.

Grinding noise and now ABS light stays on. 2007

although 33k is low mileage it sounds like you have a bad wheel bearing hub assembly.

For a couple of weeks on my 2000 chevy blazer the breaks were acting funny. Whenever I would come to a stop they would grind a lttle but not all the time. When I would park in a space it would do it to but...

First thing with brakes is to check the lining thickness. You can usually see the fronts through the wheel, or look underneath. If you have drum brakes in the back there may be a rubber inspection plug.

But if linings are ok, another risk is wheel bearings. You would then feel it as a vibration in pedal, and through steering wheel if a front bearing.

With the light, have the ABS code read with a ODBCII module. Autozone can do this for free.

I have a 2001 impala ---the check engine light is on and the abs light is on-----when i drive it --i hear a grinding noise----what could be the problem?

Why would you be using any vehicle, with two check lights on?

Those type of lights have been on vehicles for over 25 years

Surely you know, you have a possible system failure,at least with the ABS

Now there is no excuse for driving with a grinding noise.
That with the ABS Lamp on ,sounds like a bad wheel bearing.

ABS light and TC light on

Have you tried to replace the pads ? Or it can be the rotors that are worn thin and need replacement. The pads seem to be grinding agains the metal rotors.

ABS Light

I would not ignore this problem. Some damage has been caused to your braking system, i doubt if is is as simple as resetting the abs sensor. You should have the wheels removed and the suspension and braking systems fully checked over either by yourself or a competent mechanic .as the grinding sound could be a symptom of a serious safety hazard.

Driving on a flat could have buckled the rim or damaged the discs, steering or suspension.
