Question about 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix
R u the original owner of the car? do u know if the transmission was serviced as per the maitenance schedule? hopefully u only need to change the transmission filter and fluid (costs about $60 plus labor). i've heard of tcm's needing replacement too, but try the cheap route first. have u had the computer checked? u can often find a garage that will check for trouble codes for a fee, but include the fee as payment if u get your car fixed there. hope this helps.
