Did you change the spark plug wires and coils? That is usually the main cause of a miss in a cylinder.

Ford explorer has a miss fire 4.6 v8 engine light flashing

Do a tune up. Spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor. It should fix it. If not then you may new a new ignition coil or module. But the basic tune up is a easy solution if its been awhile since its been done.

Service engine soon light on; diagnostic code states: cylinder 7, Misfire

you need to have your engine tuned up, unless it's been done recently. misfire means it's not getting fire or fuel to #7 plug. you may have a plug wire bad or a bad spark plug on #7 if you go to effort of sending it to garage just to replace one plug or wire, you'll pay labor for whole tune up. wires, plugs, and maybe a bad coil pack. suggest you have tuned up with new plugs and wires. also while they are there, have them check fire to #7 plug on coil first before you do a complete tune up. thank you for choosing

Miss fires

Its very likely that its time for a tune up, also you should check the resistance of your ignition coils and if they are not within specs replace them. This same problem happen to my Sportage. Leave feedback. Rate this post.

1998 chrysler sebring convertable limited misfire on all cylinder

Assuming a "complete" tune up is plugs and wires. Recheck all wires that they click into fit. I would put fuel additive in the gas tank, I prefer to use the $3.00 method as opposed to the $65.00 cleaning method. You may need to do this more than once, but most deposits can be cleaned from the injectors by just running the additives. I'll bet you a quarter she 'purring' again in 3 days. Yes I've got the quarter. Sheesh!

Misfires, sticking 2-3 selonoid in tranny, and sluggish to start

I would make sure the engine is properly tuned. The miss fire condition could be making the transmission run poorly. Once the miss fire is repaired , then recheck the transmission.

The miss fire can be caused by several things after the tune up is done. The ignition coil, the fuel pump and filter , the computer , injectors do carbon up.

So when getting the tune up ask to have the injector cleaning done. The injection cleaner for the engine is from the dealer . They have a special cleaner . This is a common repair per Chevy to have the injection service done.

Good luck
