Where is the transmission control module on a 2001 Lincoln continental

The TCM is integrated into the PCM module. .
The PCM/ECM is under hood on the firewall around the master cylinder, there should be two to three bolts that need removal to come out on front side of fire wall. Disconnect the battery negative cable before any work is done.

How to repair reverse gear on1993to1996 saturn transmissions(automatic)

This tip might work on other year transmissions I have only tried it on 1993 to1996 saturns. If your transmission gives out try this.Jack up front end of saturn and put on jack stannds.Pull drivers side front wheel.Pull off plastic cover exposes the side of tranny. remove carter pin and nut holding tie rod end.Remove lower control arm carter pin and nut from lower control arm.Take large screw driver and pry loose lower control arm from strut mount.Loosen brake line holder bolt from fire wall.Make sure everthing is clear from the side of tranny for removel.Loosen bolts all the way arround the side cover then loosen two bolts in the middle of cover and slowly remove cover, make sure you have drain pan underneath to catch fluid leaks out, hopefully you wont tear gasket and wont have to replace you pull cover off there is two tubes that attach to the inside or the cover one on the left will come out with cover one on the right will stay inside because you removed the two center bolts from cover. There wlill be two gears. The one on left has a nut in the center. It is a 23mm thin wall socket. I didnt have one so I took a short 23mm socket, half inch drive and stuck an extension inside it and took to grinder to make thinner. tighten down with impact and put back in reverse order.Fill fluid and start and check, im sure you will have reverse. Its easy.Good luck

How do I remove top bolts on a transmission

There are three up there. I believe that there is a bracket bolt you have to remove to get the harness up enough to get a socket on the two you talked about. Then the third one is at the fire wall. It can be facing you or on the back/engine side. This one is a pain to get out.

What side is the starter on

The starter is located on the driver's side of the engine, at the front. There are two bolts that connect the starter to the flywheel of the transmission. If you are unsure what the starter looks like, it is roughly half the size of a football and the only engine part with two cylindrical metal pieces joined together, one of which is larger than the other. Another way to locate your starter is to trace the electrical wire from the red battery terminal, which splits after leaving the battery, with one wire going to the alternator and the other wire going to the starter.

If it is a 5 speed manual, then you add Transmission oil under the car on the upper side of the transmission. Under the hood on fire wall side there is the speedometer cable. You must remove lock down bolt with # 10 socket and lift straight up. That is where you add/check your Transmission fluid on a 5 speed. Clean the area first and it's fairly simple.
The tube where the dipstick for the Automatic transmission is where you add the Transmission fluid. You will probably need one of those funnels with the really long neck, so that you can get the fluid into the tube without pouring it all over the place. Be careful that you don't overfill the transmission!

Good luck and hope this helps.

the body has probably sagged on your truck one side of the shifter linkage goes to the body of the truck the other to the frame.when the body sags a little the angle of the linkage changes and the shifting suffers..........on the fire wall on the steering column is where the linkage connects follow that down and at the bottom of that linkage there it an adjustment bolt.....with the shifter in park loosen the bolt, move the adjuster up on the shaft as far as you can without forcing it too much, tighten the bolt.......adjust as necessary to make it shift properly
hope this helps.......Good luck!
