Your valve cover at one time ore anouther has probably been over tightend. you can chk by looking at the bolt hole to see if they are dimpled. if so turn upside down and with a small hammer restore the sealing surface to flat. this happens alot and is easy to fix

There is a oil leaking in my benz model 94 c280 and smoke always comes under the hood after driving few miles

Could be your valve cover is leaking onto the exhaust manifold, try tighten the valve cover screws a bit and wipe oil off of everything and after awhile check for leaks,if that doesn't work, then you may need to replace your valve cover gaskets.

What do you torhce valve cover to on a 1997 acura 2.5 tl

First off, make sure you use a new valve cover gasket and replace and dogged bolts. Tighten them just enough to squeeze the gasket. The purpose is only to keep oil inside the engine and not leak out the valve covers... you aren't bolting down a head gasket here! Use an opposite pattern across the valve cover(s) to tighten them evenly.

1988 jeep wrangler with oil leak on top of engine and can smell it inside while driving.is it a easy fix?

MOST OIL LEAKS COME FROM A BAD GASKET! IF YOU CAN LOCATE THE SOURCE OF THE LEAK, YOU CAN FIX IT! IT COULD BE JUST A VALVE COVER GASKET LEAK! YOU CAN UNBOLT THE VALVE COVER, REMOVE IT, TAKE THE OLD GASKET OUT, CLEAN UP THE INSIDE, TO INSURE THERE IS NO OLD GASKET STUCK ON THE COVER! PUT THE NEW GASKET ON, AND REMOUNT THE VALVE COVER! RULE OF THUMB: WHEN TIGHTENING IT DOWN, START WITH THE MIDDLE BOLTS, SNUG THEM UP, THEN WORK YOUR WAY TO THE OUTSIDE! ONCE YOU HAVE SNUBBED THEM UP, GO BACK TO THE MIDDLE, AND TURN THE BOLT 1/8 TO 1/4 TURN EACH IN THE SAME WAY ( FROM THE MIDDLE- OUT!

I am getting the smell of oil in the interior of my 2002 Mazda Millenia. The front valve cover appears to be leaking oil.Is this a tough repair job?

It shouldn't be bad. Most valve covers are just a matter of taking it off, scraping off the old gasket material, apply a little gasket sealant gunk, put on a new gasket and tighten it back down.

Bad valve cover gasket, misfire and tapping lifter.

if your asking what to do about it you will have to remove it and fit a new gasket this can be relatively easy if your good with engines if your not this can be extremely hard id take it to mechanic to fix but the costs can be in the thousands for a gasket replacemeant because of the amount of work and time it takes to strip the engine to get to the gasket
