I have a 1988 ford 302 an it started losen oil presure i put new rod barines an had the crank shaft re done an it still does not have good oil presure

Did you chg. the oil pump? you maid no mention of that. Hi volume pump is the way to go.

Many idling problems such as yours can be resolved by simply having the car tuned up ie , new air filter, change all spark plugs, oil change, etc... you'd be surprised by the outcome! Good luck.

2003 ford F250 6.0 deisel..it will crank but will not start,cam and crank wil not synchronize..both are new. oil gauge wil not show pressure while cranking RPM.is around 48 rpms on a scan tool...


I HAVE A 7.3 DEISEL AND I DONT KNOW IF THE 6.0 HAS ONE OR NOT BUT MY CRANK SHAFT SENSOR WENT BAD AND THE TRUCK WOULD NOT START( JUST TURN OVER ) DEALER PUT NEW CRANK SHAFT SENSOR ON MINE AND FIXED THE PROBLEM...HOPE THIS HELPS...

Motor knocks


Hello;
Before you start to pull the crank out, check your oil pressure via an independent gage. Then if you have around 25-30 psi gage, drain some oil out. Put a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil in and top off . Change oil filter. Drive the truck for a few miles. Change the oil and filter. This should start to break away the sludge that is built up.

You may need to do this up to 10 times before you can go 3000 miles on an oil change.
Now if the oil pressure is extremely low, yes you can change the crank in chassis. I have done it in a pinch before. It is much easier to pull the engine and put a crank in. If the crank is bad, you also have a rod that is bad. You also need to clean all the parts or emminent failure will occur.
I would also change the knock sensors on your truck as well. Hope this helps. Rate me high.

Running too rich..Not sure exactly what the problem is. Might be best to buy a repair book and look it up on there..they have them at the library or you can get one online here.

OIL PUMP PROBLEMS


the oil pump is not electronic it is gear drivin . either the gear is bad or the installation was done incorrect. my advice is to start over and sure the rod is seated correctly . you should be able to put the rod in and not be able to spin it. if it spins that means either the gear is completely bad or the rod needs replacing or both. in order to replace the gear you have to remove the timing chain. in your vehicle if you have a distributor and not coil packs you have to remove the distributor and look at the bott of the shaft to see if it is worn out. hope this helps........please rate this.
