Well i hope you havent tryed to turn it over to start.
And when the engine stopped did it make a knocking noise??? if yes then its the belt, as the price of them it pays to change them every 60,000 miles thats if you do a lot of town work or 80 .000if long driving as if you have done the belt then you have done at least 2 or more valves as when the belt goes the valve stoppes in 100 of a second ,but the piston will do a few more and thats were the trouble lies.
OK so go out to the car and get someone to turn it over with the key a quick turn and before that take the rocker cover filler cap off and just rest your finger on top of the camshaft (if you carnt see the shaft turn when the engine is turned over) and if it dosent turn then the HEAD and all other parts have to go away to be repaired..
SO let me know how you get on ASAP RON

timing belt or chain slipped or broke. pull a spark plug wire, and confirm it has spark. if nospark then possibly bad coil.if still has spark then is probably the timing belt/chain

Does my 2002 nissan quest have a timing belt or chain

It has a timing belt, and it is an interference style engine.
So if the timing belt is broke, the engine will probably not crank.
Most common problems are the cam and crank sensors among other things. You also need to know if the coil is getting power.

Do 1994 Nissan 4 cylinders need a new timing belt at 90,000 to100,000 Miles??

Your Nissan does not have an interference engine, meaning when the belt breaks it will not ruin your engine. In fact Gates hose and belts doesn't even list a timing belt for that engine which makes me think that you have a timing chain instead. Timing chains seldom break so unless your having some issue that make you think it needs replacing I would just drive it.

How many miles to replace timing belt for nissan quest 1996

spec is 105,000 miles, but they go 150K easily. If it breaks, it won't cause any damage to the engine.

it's a freewheeling engine. Interval is 105,000 but most go to 160,000 easily.

I would just kep driving, no engine damage will happen if it breaks. engine will just stall.

Does the nissan quest 1999 timing belt needs to be

The Quest has a non interference engine meaning that should the belt break the engine would just die without breaking anything. Nissan recommends 105K for changing but that depends on the way the vehicle was driven (driving habits), road conditions etc. If driving on roads for e.g. that are hilly, it labors the engine more thus shortens the lifespan of the belt according to mfg.

the timing belt should be changed every 60,000 miles.
your engine is an interference engine, which means if the timing belt breaks or skips, the valves will hit the pistons.
if your belt broke you will have bent valves. so the heads will need to come off and bent valves replaced.
