Check behind both rear tires for the a/c drain tube and which ever side it is on, the evaporator core will be in a case behind that panel

Does the rear HVAC in a 2006 mercury mountaineer premier use the same Freon from front ac?

The AC system front and rear work off the one compressor so yes front and rear use the same Freon.
The front and rear have separate evaporator coils and expansion valves however.

Rear ac in 2006 dodge caravan leaking

This is a common problem with that year. It is the connection at the rear evaporator. The problem is, the connectors are exposed behind the rear passenger side where salt gets in and eats away at it. Some say it's a bad design. You will need to replace the whole evaporator with the connectors. It is expensive, around $400-$600with labor. Some mechanics are able to disconnect the rear completely for half the price but you will have to relie on the front A/C to cool the whole car.

I just replaced a new rear ac evaporator in my 2006 town and country mini van and i need to know how to charge the ac

you are best to take it to a shop that does a/c work to have them evacuate and vacume the system to remove all the air out of the system then recharge it.as moisture will cause problems in the system.also the R134 freon that the system uses is far more dangerous to humans than R12 and can cause serious health problems with little inhalation of the gas.

AC Compressor is not coming on in our 2006 grand caravan could it be a fuse and if so which one

I'd bet money it's your Rear Evaporator, located behind the back right tire. Mine just went out, which cost $200 to discover, followed by $811 to replace. My co-worker has the same vehicle, and had the same exact problem six months prior. If you google search for "06 grand caravan evaporator" you'll find similar posts. And it's not a recalled item, as of this writing.

Town & Country 2007 LX model aircondition not working

It does have air conditioning installed. It may also have rear a/c. The rear a/c evaporator is probably leaking freon. I have replaced many rear evaporators on 2006 and 2007 Chrysler minivans as a result of a design change in 2006. Recharge the a/c and add dye to the system. If it has rear air, look behind the right rear wheel in the fender area under the car where the a/c lines go into the body.
