Key wont unlock door 98 ford ranger

Will the keyfob unlock the doors? If not, then get a lock smith to open one door and then drive it to a Ford dealer to have the locks changed and the new keys programmed.

there is what they call a chime module . located on the drives side in or near the fuse box by the lower kick pannel . this module could be about 2x2 color black/green/or tan . and look like it has a small speaker grill in it . remove this and it should stop the warning chimes

96 Ranger new battery new solenoid new starter. Can roll it and pop the clutch, but key wont start. Everything turns on but no click when I turn the key.

Hello

I had the same problem with mine. It ended up being the neutral safety switch connected to the clutch pedal. At least with mine you had to hold down the clutch or the truck didnt think it was in neutral. No neutral means it wont start.

I hope that helps

Makes a ding ding noise

Try spraying wd40 into the door locking mecahnism area, spray it down very well. There is a switch in there that gets dirty and sticks. It worked for me.

91 ford ranger 2.9 super cab: Starter keeps turning/cranking

With fords you have to have to battery tip top condition (a must).
Now when you refer to the starter solenoid, are you talking about the relay on the passenger side fender well. If so, start there.
With the starter wire or trigger wire disconnected, Start running your tests.
Find out if its something to do with the trigger wire or if it has to do with the relay.

Door wont unlock when i put key in

I believe your problem is directly related to the elecrical contacts in the door key lock itself. I understand that the door locks but wont unlock. If the switch in the lock tumbler it self is not defective you may have other electrical problems in this circuit. do you have the same problem on the passenger door or is it specific to the drivers side only

The ignition bell wont stop ringing

You need to unplug the door harness one at a time to locate which door is causing the problem. Once the door is located, you can replace the switch which is located on the lock mechanism.

Warning ding goes on after door is shut...

I may have the wrong application in mind but I believe that the sensor is installed on the door latch itself (but I'd also consider that it can be wherever you find it) It can be out of adjustment considering that the door was hit. Try something easy first, like building up the contact point where the switch you see contacts the door. Use several layers of duct tape etc. If the problem stops then you know it's the correct location and that you need to adjust the switch. Never saw one with exposed contacts...If it has, try a piece of aluminium foil or strip of soda can on the outside of the tape.
