Have it inspected and these problems taken care of at a service garage. when all is ok then take and have it inspected by your state..

My 2000 Mustang did the same thing. I filled it up and topped the RPMs out in 2nd gear and haven't had a problem with it since then. Might want to try that if it's a standard.

My 2004 mustang gt service engine soon light started flashing for about a minute and went off also my car started

If your check engine light starts to flash that is telling you to shut it down so that you do not do any significant damage to the engine. I would recommend that you go to your local parts store or call a mobile tech out to read what codes are possibly stored in your cars computer and find out what is going on.

Ford Mustang service engine soon and check fuel cap lights are on

Check fuel cap light will not immediatly go out upon replacement of the fuel cap. Might take several days. You could go to a local autoparts store and have them read the trouble code (for check engine light) and reset it. If it was indeed the fuel cap the light should stay off after resetting it. Most autoparts stores do not charge a fee to do this.

Turn off check engine light on 2001 mustang off for free

you can disconnect the negative battery cable and reconnect to clear the codes but to get it inspected in most states it has to clear the 'ready's' by driving it. here in nc it can only have one not ready for an 01. if you drive it to get it to clear though, it will most likely turn the light back on so you may have to see what its on for and fix it

Ford mustang - year 2000 - 3.8 liter. The coil pack is out?

I replaced the coil pack to no avail. I also purchase a code reader while at the auto parts store. This device told me cylinder 3 was misfiring (P0303). I found that the spark plug wire had shorted out on the manifold sensor tubes. Replaced that wire and done.

I highly recommend keeping a code reader in your car tool kit. very useful.

Service engine soon & brake light stays on

the service engine light is prob due to the oxygen sensor being damaged, not replace or you having the catalytic converter taken off---just messing with you. start at auto zone and have then do a free code read then go from there. you should troubleshoot the low fluid level switch for your brake fluid. unplug it and see if the light goes off and if it doesn't jump the two terminals on the harness. oh the car will have to be running.
