You can call the auto parts store and ask them for the firing order from #1 -6 on that engine or pick up the automotive book for that car and year the auto parts stores sell these book fairly priced

I am having trouble fiquiring out which wire goes to which plug. The wires are different lengths and the correct wire length has to go specifically with the correct plug. I have the firing order dia


The firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6
Cyl #1 is front left when looking at engine front to back
left coil pack connects to cyls. 5-2
center coil pack connects to cyls. 3-6
right coil pack connects to cyls. 4-1
It doesn't matter which connector on the coil you use just that the cylinder is connected to the proper coil pack (the coil fires both plugs at the same time, twice per each full 4 stroke cycle)

I disconect all the wires from coil and now i dont know how to conect them

Firing order diagram 1999 lumina


Hello Friend:

Firing Order is 1--2--3--4--5--6

Left Bank 1----------3---------5

Coils----<-5-2-><3-6->-<-4-1> Back of Engine

Right Bank-2----------4---------6

This diagram shows where your Spark Plugs/Cylinders Are.

And the 3-Coils each coil supplies Voltage to 2- Plug Wires.

Which i Show in the Center of above diagram ,#1 Plug wire goes to #1 on the Coil which in the Diagram is the Rear Coil and the farest back. So- on ! This should get you going. Hope this Diagram Loads Down Proper.

Need to know the placement spark plug wires 2001 chevrolet malibu


do not have a diagram, but heres the firing order. 1-2-3-4-5-6, 1-3-5 is in back, # 1 is closest to alternator. from left to right, or facing engine from front 2-4-6 is in front. 5-2-3-6-4-1 is coil pack, from left to right (facing from front of engine).

Spark Plug Wires - Removal & Installation

3.5L Engine
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
    NOTE Twist the spark plug boot one-half turn in order to release the boot. Pull on the spark plug boot only. Do not pull on the spark plug wire or the wire could be damaged.
  2. Remove the intake manifold cover, if required.
  3. Disconnect the left side spark plug wires from the spark plugs.
  4. Disconnect the left side spark plug wires from the ignition coil.
  5. Remove the spark plug wire clips from the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor bracket and the heater inlet and outlet pipe tab.
  6. Remove the spark plug wire assembly.
  7. If replacing only one plug wire, open the retaining clips and remove the appropriate spark plug wire.
  8. Disconnect the right side spark plug wires from the spark plugs.
  9. Disconnect the right side spark plugs from the ignition coils.
  10. Remove the spark plug wire assembly.
  11. If replacing only one plug wire, open the retaining clip and remove the appropriate spark plug wire.
To install:
  1. Install the spark plug wire assembly.
  2. Connect the right side spark plugs to the ignition coils.
  3. Connect the right side spark plug wires to the spark plugs.
  4. If replacing only one plug wire, open the retaining clip and install the appropriate spark plug wire.
  5. Install the spark plug wire assembly.
  6. Connect the left side spark plug wires to the spark plugs.
  7. Connect the left side spark plug wires to the ignition coil.
  8. Install the spark plug wire clips to the MAP sensor bracket and the heater inlet and outlet pipe tab.
  9. If replacing only one plug wire, open the retaining clips and install the appropriate spark plug wire.
  10. Install the intake manifold cover, if required.

How do you test ingition coil


disconect coil completley find the positive on the coil conect it to the positive on battery colil output should be close to a good grounding surface or a coil lead plugged into the coil tower and the other end of coil lead very close to a ground surface then attach a wire to the negative side of coil ready?....making sure coil output is close to a ground surface or the coil lead is very close to a ground surface take the wire u just conected to negitive side of coil and hold it on the ground side of battery for about 1-1.5 seconds and release and the coil should fire as u release the wire from neg side of battery

Spark plug wiring


The coil have these number 1,4,3,2 these are the cylinder number and the number 1 cylinder spark is the first of the left when you are in front of the car trunk the secuency is continuos in the motor from left to right 1,2,3,4.
