Do your truck and yourself a favor and invest in a decent service manual. You can get details here:
SR5 Manual
check your local library to see if they have one or check eBay to save some bucks. You can also get these at most auto parts stores.
You'll be glad you did, since you can then look at any project and get an idea of whether you want to try a repair yourself or get a rough estimate of what it might cost. We have several vehicles and each has its manual on board.

I have a 1989 chevy pickup can not afford power steering pump can i bypass pulley with smaller serpetine belt

I is not advisable for a number of reasons. The steering will be a lot harder than even a vehicle without power steering which is a safety issue. The steering gear relies on the oil circulating through it for lubrication, so you would be putting undue stress and wear on the steering box.
By the time you spend good money for a smaller belt and a lot of time trying to make it work, you could get a used pump from a pull it yourself junkyard.

Are you using aftermarket water pumps? If so I would recommend getting a remanufactured one from the toyota dealer.

When changing power steering belt on a 1989 toyota camery xl v6 is there a tentioner and could u plz exspain where it would be or could u send me a diagram to my email @ ( poolgod31@hotmail.com )

There is no tensioner the pump swivels to tighten the belt, theres a bolt at the top and the bottom of the pump to loosen it, then pry the pump foward to release the tension of the belt.alot of these toyotas have an adjustment bolt on the top bracket that needs to be loosened to release the tension so take a look when loosening the top bolt.

I need a manual that tells me how to replace the head gasket on 1989 toyota 3.0 V6

Your best bet would be down at the auto parts store. Pick up a copy of a Haynes manual for your truck or a copy of Chiltons book for imports. Both should have everything you need to know to do the job. Hope this helps.

Alternator belt replacement of 1989 Toyota pickup truck . there are 2 belts to get past before we can replace the alternator belt. How is best to remove first two belts.

Start with the power steering belt it takes a 12 mm socket for the bolt in the power steering . also loosen the bolt on the power steering pump pulley. remove the radiator lower fan shroud. It just clips in. pull the power steering belt around the fan and out of the engine compartment then do the a/c belt. That is the best way I know how.
