The 2 WD cars were front wheel drive. Look under the vehicle from the rear of the car and see if all you have are dead axles and suspension which indicates 2 WD or if you have the large 'pumpkin' in the center and live axles. If so it is an AWD.

Just look under it to see if there is a driveshaft going to rear or a rear differential

SOURCE: 96 plymouth voyager no shift

you say the fluid looks good... that's great.
now next time your out drive for about ten good minuetes long enough for the transmission to get nice and warm and then pull over to nice level ground and with the vehicle in park check the fluid again. it's kind of hard to read because it always has a lot of bubbles on it and stuff. but it may be low on fluid.. good-luck ray

I know all about replaceing the fuel pump i just want to know if you can syphon the gas out first on a Plymouth Grand Voyager 1999? or is there some other way to get it done? last time we had no gas

You most likely have to remove the filler
hose, to drop the tank,so syphon the gas
directly from the tank with the hose off,
where ever your going to remove it from

Is 1997 plymouth voyager front wheel or 4-wheel drive?

the voyager was avable with either FWD or all wheel drive, you will need to look under the van for a drive shaft going to the rear of the van, the AWD models were very rare, and all had a AWD emblem on the back door.

Is it front wheel drive?

It is for sure front wheel drive. Some of them are also all wheel drive and you would have AWD emblems on the back of the van if it is.
