Question about 1998 Saturn SL
While you have the nut off clean out the aluminum out of the steel gear on the car side. That way when you put the wiper back in place it will lock in place better.

At the base of the wiper there is a nut under the decorative cover that holds the wiper on. You can remove this nut and pull the wiper, realign it and replace the nut. With a few tries even a novice can get them where they belong.
