Question about 1993 Buick LeSabre
Check if the security light is on. if so then if you wait for 3 minutes and the light goes out then the car will start then it is the resistor chip key reader in your ignition switch. all GM cars with Vehicle Anti-Theft System (VATS) built in the 90's eventually have that problem. Solution is replace the ignition and keys or bypass the key resistance reader.

Another solution is to bypass the VATS system entirely, not with the resistor, but with a full bypass system. Here is a detailed write-up on how to do it yourself - this is the only thing that saved my old Buick: http://newrockies.ca/vatsbypass
