My a vital 4113 remote start worked fine for years. All of a sudden it is setting off the car alarm, it does still start the car but I can't shut off the alarm without shutting off the car.

It sounds like there could be an issue with the programming of your Vital 4113 remote start or a defect in the system itself. Here are a few troubleshooting tips to try:
  1. Check the battery on your remote. If the remote's battery is low, it may be causing interference that's setting off the alarm.
  2. Double-check the programming of the remote start system. Make sure that it's set up correctly and hasn't been accidentally reprogrammed.
  3. Look for any loose connections or damage to the system's wiring. If the wires connecting the remote start to the car's alarm system are loose or damaged, it could be causing the issue.
  4. If none of these steps work, it's best to take your car to a professional mechanic or electronics expert who can properly diagnose and repair the issue. They may need to replace the remote start system or make more in-depth repairs to your car's electrical system.

How do i remove a carbine alarm from my 1994 mazda miata mx 5

if this alarm was fitted after the car was made then these wires will make connection's to the vehicle's wiring 'you wont find a matching connection, just trace the path of these wires and i expect you will find that where they connect it will be where ONE wire has been cut and each end connected to the alarms wiring ie to cut the power to the injection/fuel pump to stop vehicle being started, one of these connectors will be for power supply and earth so check with voltmeter first then trace and dissconnect, a bit of patiance and all will be good keep me posted if you wish

Anti-Theft Systems

PROGRAMMING

NOTE: If a new Smart Entrance Control Module (SECU) is installed, a new identity code must be entered and all remote controllers must be programmed. If identity code cannot be entered, repair multi-remote system. See appropriate MULTI-REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEMS article.

PROGRAMMING > PROGRAMING NEW ID CODE

NOTE: This procedure will erase all previous identity codes and render all previously programmed remote controllers inoperative (until reprogrammed). All remote controllers to be used with system must be programmed at the same time. A maximum of 4 remote controllers can be programmed. Any attempt to program more than 4 controllers will be ignored. If same identity code is entered more than once, entry is ignored even though hazard warning lights will still flash twice.
1. Close and lock all doors. Erase original identity code(s) by inserting and completely removing key from ignition switch more than 6 times within 10 seconds. Hazard warning lights should flash twice. Turn ignition switch to ACC position.
2. Push any button on new remote controller once. Hazard warning lights should flash twice, indicating identity code has been entered. If identity code cannot be entered, repair multi-remote system. See appropriate MULTI-REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEMS article.
3. For each additional remote controller to be programmed, manually release door lock and lock again by using door panel switch and repeat step 2. If no additional remote controllers are to be used, exit programming mode by unlocking and opening driver's door.

Please let me know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed. Happy mew Year!

What is the valet button located inside of glove compartment used for

It is used for programing the alarm, it is used to disarm the alarm without the remote, [in case remote is damaged] and it is used to put alarm system into valet mode, [service mode] valet mode is only really needed if the alarm has been programed for passive arming, [alarm arms itself].

Your main use for the valet switch, [if programed for active arming instead of passive arming] is to have a way to disarm the alarm if the remote does not work.

Why not just get the factory PATS System working correctly. You can't remove the factory system,it's an integral part of you vehicles systems and processors

You can get new remotes and program them!!

Alarm problem on my 2001 elantra

This alarm system can only be 'disarmed' using the keyless remote programmed for this specific vehicle. Press the "Unlock" button on the keyless remote -- this resets/disarms the alarm system. If you do not have keyless remote for this vehicle, get one and have it programmed at a Hyundai Service Center. Problem solved.

1996 Grand Cherokee keyless entry problem

That remote should not be able to  be programmed by you, it needs to be programmed by the dealer using their computer.  I know that some later and earlier models can be programmed by the user, but I did some research on this as i have a 96 as well and it seems the 96 was a dealer computer thing.  If you in fact bought the remote from the dealer they should be willing to program it for FREE.  Otherwise I was given a $30 estimate for the programming.
