How do i stop the check engine light n the ABS light from remaining on and make the speedometer and the tachometer to function

I am guessing that any necessary repairs needed to correct the problem causing the light to come on have been fixed. If that is the case you can disconnect the positive cable to the car's battery, then reconnect it. If the light still stays on, the problem causing it to come on has not been repaired and needs to be checked by a mechanic.

I have a Honda Jazz 2005 , the radio has stopped emitting sound ., nothing on the display bar can be changed and the TP function is flashing on the display bar , any ideas please as what the problem i

Your owners manual should give you some answers. Lacking that, you could get a Chilton/Haynes repair manual for your make/model/year. There are sections for trouble shooting most areas, including the radio (if it's the stock system).

My c200 year 2000 got problem with horn, i just went to service my car after that i switch on my car the horn swtich on automatically and non stop ,after awhile, my mechanic fix again and now no more

Often we find that the horn pad becomes loose and requires adjustment, you need to take it to a mechanic to be adjusted, they need to remove the air bag and adjust the spring loaded screws, that should fix your horn, I doubt it has anything to do with your air conditioning repair

I had the front and back brake pads changed and roters ground on my 2002 Saturn VUE, after approx 6 to 9 months the ABS light has come on and has been on for approx 1 year?

The abs is a seperat system from the brakes but needs the brake system in order to function.

The best advice I can give if you want to solve the problem is to have the ABS module scanned for codes. You will need an ABS specific code reader or a hi end multi-function scan tool for this. You can also try your local parts store to see if they can do this. Otherwise you will need to bring it to you local shop or dealer and have them run a diagnosis on the ABS system (there is usually a fee for this).

Once you know the codes, post them here and I'll be happy to help you solve them.

The brake system will continue to function normally while the ABS light is on however, the ABS will not work if there is an emergency stopping situation. My personal opinion of fixing these is find out whats wrong, see how much it cost to repair. If its under $300 its worth repairing for the piece of mind.

I am trying to find the location of the fuses for the brake lights on a 2006 Chevy Cobalt sedan

{: ) The stop lamp switch controls the on/off function of the stop lamps including the center high-mounted stop lamp( CHMSL). The stop lamp switch get its power from the Body Control Module (BCM). This power is also fused but is internal to the BCM. You need to check carefully the voltages at the stop lamp switch and its on/off function. If voltage is not present at the stoplamp switch, you can check the C4 connector(light gray in color) at the BCM if there is some loose connection. Otherwise the BCM may not be giving an output voltage and will need to be repaired/replaced. I hope the problem is not caused by the BCM.

My 2004 Trailblazer instrument cluster has stopped functioning. The Tach, speedo, oil press, gas, and temp guages spin irregularly and their readings at this point are meaningless. The only things that do...

Hello Mcook389,
If you have above average soldering and de-soldering skills you can perform the repair yourself.
I have repaired many GM instrument clusters and without question this issue is affecting GM instrument cluster all over the country. The particular item that is giving you the bad gauge readings is the stepper motor that drives each gauge.
Please visit my website for complete repair information if you decide to outsource the repair. www.kincerservice.com
Thanks Mike

Clutch or slave cylinder?

Hi,

If the fluid paddle is below the transmission, then it would be the slave, if it is below the firewall, then it would be the clutch master. There are repair kits available that contains most of the necessary parts to repair either the slave or master. Thereafter, it would be necessary to "bleed" the system to remove the air bubbles and set the clutch play.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
