Question about 1992 Acura Vigor
My 1992 Acura Vigor starts poorly during cold mornings. The idle speed is extremely low as opposed to the normal 2,000 RPM, however once the car warms up it seems to run fine. However, intermittently while driving the engine light will come on and then the car starts to run very rough and almost stalls at stop lights unless the idle speed are kept up. On warm mornings the car exhibits no problems. What's the problem?
Sounds like a cold start valve (which is actually an additional injector in the intake to assist in cold starting) If you can get it to your local prts store while the light is on they will read the codes for free and tell you what the car thinks is amiss.

Check the "crank position sensor". If bad car will stumble, hesitate and stall. Usually happens when any load on electric system is involved. (Like A/C, defroster, cabin fan...etc). You need a diagnostic machine to confirm. Be sure because it is a challenge in labor and part is $$.
