Question about 1992 Chevrolet S-10
Be sure you have a good ground on the battery my mechanic pulled the plastic sheath off my ground and that fixed it so you might have a bad ground some where

Be sure vehicle in park. Have an assistant hold ignition in the start position. Check voltage (12volts) to the smaller wire at the starter (purple usually). If you have power...check for voltage on the large wire (hot at all times). If you have power on both...you have a bad starter. If the smaller wire does not have power then possible blown fuse, park neutral switch or clutch switch (manual trans only).
