take off handles using screw driver and remove screws so you can pry off door panel clip pins to access inside. Just be careful to not damage the window or the string the the window motor causes to rise and lower the window as that would cause many hours for novice mechanic to fix.

Electric window button on 95 Lincoln Towncar has fallen in.

Can you get it out far enough to put a "C" shaped piece of plastic under it so it won't fall back into the hole? Or wrap some tape around it, or some string?

Passenger side window fell down when pressed down button. now wont go back up and wont stay up when pushed up

Take it to an auto glass shop, the window has fallen out of the track attached to the regulator. If there is no whining motor sound the regulator may have died as well and you need to look around on ebay for a replacement, Since the driver door regulator usually dies first however, I would bet on the regulator being good, window just out of track. A glass shop can fix that for you in a few hours for less than a hundred bucks. If price is not a factor then a dealer can do it for you for about 500 bucks.

How do I realign the passenger side window?

WINDOW GLASS REMOVAL

NOTE: Window glass must be operable in order to remove door assembly carrier. Any malfunction that prevents the window (manual or power) from being lowered must be corrected before proceeding.

  • Remove door trim panel.
  • Pry out sealing plugs in door assembly carrier to gain access to window glass securing bolts.
  • Lower window until window glass securing bolts are accessible.
NOTE:
If the power window motor is not working it can be renmoved to allow the window to be slid down.

  • Loosen window glass securing bolts and carefully press glass securing clamps apart.
NOTE:
If glass is being replaced due to breakage, remove door assembly carrier and remove broken shards of glass to prevent rattling noises in door.

  • Carefully lower the window regulator.
  • Lift window glass up and pivot forward, starting at the taller end of the glass. Pivot forward towards the direction of the side mirror.
  • Place removed window glass in a secure location.
WINDOW GLASS INSTALLATION

  • Slide forward part of window glass into opening and pivot glass downward, reversing the removal proceedure.
  • Raise window regulator until window glass securing bolts are visible in access holes on door assembly carrier.
  • Gently press window in the direction of the door latch or highest part of glass and tighten securing clamp bolts.
  • Remainder of installation is the reverse of disassembly.
  • Check operation of window before final installation of door trim panel.

Power locks and windows

You my have a "electrical gramlin" in you car.. check the whole wiring from driver side to passenger side, to the doors, under the floor mats, check all connectors. It looks like you lost the complete connection to passenger side. Maybe the conector from the body to the passenger front door is open. There is a screw in the middle of the connector, check this first.

Passenger window fallen down inside door frame.... VW Golf 2002

you need to get a window regulator repair kit from a VW main dealer, they are about £30.....they always brake, the new part has metal clamps and is a far superior item....i would strongly recomend you take it to a dealer or specialist it is a fairly tricky job and not for the DIYer...it should cost you about 1 1/4 hours labour but it will save you some pain....cheers
