The pressure switch is loctated on top of the oil filter housing, should be a round metal cylinder style with oen wire going to it, left side of motor right next to tranny

2003 yukon denali oil pressure switch pegged over the 80 psi indicator. Oil qty is good.

Sounds like a bad oil pressure sending unit.

Try unplugging it and see if the gauge drops to zero. If it does than replacing the oil pressure sending unit will most likely fix your problem.

It is not easy to see or get at but you can find it on the back side of the engine on the drivers side, kind of in between the valve cover and the intake plenum

While drivingoil pressure is at 40. after half hour of highway driving oil pressure drops to 0 or below. i stop and restart oil pressure comes back. ideas?

Could be the Oil Pressure Sending Unit. I do recall GMC having issues with the instrument cluster on 2003's. Try slapping the dash when the gage reads zero.

1995 GMC YUKON I HAVE CHANGE THE OIL SENDING UNIT THE OIL GAUGE IS STILL DROPPING TO 20 PSI WHEN EITHER AT A STOP OR IDLING I HOPING THAT THE OIL PUMP NOT GOING I CANT AFFORD TO REBUILD A MOTOR THIS TIME...

you will need to put a pressure gauge right on the engine to see whats real. Do an oil service with filter. This could help, If the pressure is stll low you could put a oil pump in and hope for the best. As long as you have pressure you should be ok. 20psi at idle can be a sign of old oil so cross your fingers.

the sending switch is on the back upper side of the engine behind the intake. about the size of a shotgun shell. they sell a kit or you might find someone to loan you one to srew into where the sender goes. start the vehicle and monitor pressure

I just got an oil change on my 95 yukon about two weeks ago and the oil gauge reads low, also the battery guage is low. Any ideas what this could be?

it could be that they put a filter on it that is defective or the oil sending unbit is going bad and battery well that might mean that your battery is going dead and needs to be replaced i would try battery first
