Sounds like the gauge and sensor r workin properly....but you do have to address that coolant leak...that causes your temp to fluctuate cuz you cooling capacity is being reduced

My 2001 ford taurus with the standard V6 engine (200,000 miles) has alot of trouble starting... The battery is just 2 months old, and the mass airflow sensor, timing sensor, and starter have been...

check compression on each cylinder and fuel pressure,I dont know if you have the tools, but for that engine whit 200,000 miles,I think the compression is down,at least you got to have 75 of compression on each cylinder.

Missfire on #1 cylinder not bad. Switched #1and #4 plugs problem got worse

There are sensors located throughout the engine. In most cases in order to locate the correct sensor, which needs replaced, the vehicle will have to be hooked up to a type of technology which will pin point the faulty sensor. Most likely, the problem is the crank shaft sensor or the cam shaft sensor.

Location of the bank 1 sensor 2 O2 sensor on a 2001 ford escape

B1 means the sensor is located on the same bank of the engine that has the #1 cylinder. B2 is located on the opposite bank.
S1 means the sensor is located BEFORE the catalytic converter
S2 means the sensor is located AFTER the catalytic converter

You didn't say which engine you have, so I've included the diagrams of both 4 cyl and 6 cyl so you can see the banks

Where is the camshaft sensor?

It depends on the engine that you have in the car. On the 3.0L Vin S engine it is located on the front of the engine and attached to the forward cylinder head. On the 3.0L Vin U,2 engine, it is located at the rear of the engine between the cylinder banks. Hope this helped and best wishes.

ok the number 1 cylinder is by the firewall on the rt side of your engine, it is the closes to the passenger side and is the closes to the pulleys,
and the bank 1 sensor 2 is located at the rear exaust and it is after the catalitic, the rear exaust is the closes to the firewall
and the firewall is the metal betwen the engine and the cab.
