Under the front hood at the coner of driver side you should see a switch which is suppose to close the contact when you close the hood, this switch can be replace very easy and you can buy it from the dealer for about $25. I had the same problem with my X5 and it fixed now.

good luck

2001 chevy blazer randomly won't click or anything.....then will randomly will start

See if it has the double stacked positive cable ends at the battery, Sometimes one won't make a good connection, 1 goes to the starter the other feeds the rest of the electrical system, Also check make sure your ignition switch isn't going bad, NOT the key and tumbler but the electrical switch itself...Make sure your starter wiring is tight also..

I have a 2003 volkswagen golf with a 2.0 liter engine. My temperature gauge randomly falls all the way to the left after the car has ample time to warm up. It gets to 190 degrees and will stay then...

The temperature sensor or the gauge itself may be faulty causing it to jump around. As for the radio it could be the head unit itself or the cable to the antenna may be loose or disconnected.

My car alarm randomly goes off on my 06 Charger.

I had an issue with an Aveo that would do the same thing... what I did to correct that problem was to diagnose all the alarm switch's.

I took all door switch off inspected them they looked fine I then check the hood switch and when I took it off I noticed it was corroded inside since I changed it the alarm never came on again.

I would check your hood switch it maybe the same.

Good luck

Battery dead

You need to hook the alarm back up and do a reset on the car.

Here is how you do it.

1) Turn factory original key to "ON" position for 5 seconds
2) Turn key to "OFF" position.
3) Repeat 1 and 2 again. Do it twice.
4) This should reset the computer to the chip inside the key.

If that didn't work,You will need to have the codes downloaded at the dealer.

Battery goes dead for no reason.

I would have the battery stress tested. I know autozone will do it for free and most other auto part stores will as well.
