Try changeing the fuel filter, then the fuel pump, if that helps then you will need to do a top engine clean to fix the issure. computer can't change timing with to much carbon build up nd throws al sensors off.

One other thing it could be is fuel pressure regulater.

How to check oxygen sensors 08 Tahoe?

Is the check engine light on ? How many miles are on the vehicle ? Have you ever changed the fuel filter ? The best way to check the O2 Sensors is with a scan tool ,but can be done with a ( DVOM ) digital volt, ohm meter . look on your tube , they have a number of O2 sensor testing videos . A misfire will feel almost the same , plugs and wires ! This system is very complex and if your not a trained Tech , I'd leave this to the pros !

Car hesitates occasionaly

Its hard to say with out more info. But if its running ok at lower speeds and its shifting good im assumeing its an automatic .Its likely not a sensor problemif your not getting MIL codes or an electrical issue . Its most likely a fuel related issue .Dose it happen going up hill or do you get randem misfire codes like p0300 or p0304I would ckeck the fuel filter first its the cheapest and easyest thing to check .If thats clear then it may be fuel pump related or EGR or EVAP system related . Check the gas cap and the fuel lines as well as the fuel tank for leaks as well you will be able to smell gas when its running or see it driping on the ground Dose the fuel tank hold pressure when you remove the cap . Its the best i can tell you

You didn't mention which engine you have but on an inline six, a failed fuel pressure regulator caused this symptom on ours.
It is at the front end of the fuel rail and cost ~$40 to procure.
