How do I disconnect heater for 2004 Toyota Highlander?

bypass the heater core. 2 small hoses run from the firewall to different locations on the engine (one should be the thermostat housing. dissconnect one hose from fire wall end, and reconnect it to where the opposite end of the other hose is located, creating a loop that does not include the heater core. The remaining hose (one end still attached to the heater core at the fire wall) should be connected to the opposite connection at the fire wall so it can be re-engaged next winter.

Actual problem seems to be the heat damper valve, which restricts water flow into the heater core, easiest fix is reattach the actuating cable to the valve arm (if this was detached) most costly is replace valve assemble/heater core assembly....

Where is locotated the voltage regulator in 2004 Toyota Highlander. I want to replace the voltage regulator in my 2005 Toyota highlander and I don't know how I can locate it.

the voltage regulator on this along with most newer vehicles is located inside of the alternator. this is not replaceable as it is internal unless you get an alternator rebuild kit. if helpful please leave positive rating.

Toyota corolla verso 54 reg. Heating system does not get hot, in colder weather, particularly little heat to the front screen.

Try flushing the radiator and/or changing the vented cap. If that's no help, you may have a faulty thermostat or heater core.

The heater control on my 2001 Toyota Highlander is not working and the nut behind the heater knob is tight. Believe the problem may be the circuit board which I understand can be expensive to replace.

Once the heater control unit is removed then the connections for the knob which probably was loose at one time. There are 3 connections that break off. This is repairable by a skilled solderer as they are very close together. Otherwise it is 500+ from dealer and you don't get the whole unit, so it takes some gentleness to dissassemble that too. You might be able to find a cheaper fixed unit but I don't know of any.
