Hi,

It refers to :-

P0327 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Input (Bank I or Single Sensor)

Now,

On most Vehicles, The knock sensors are located on the side of the engine and can be replaced by you. They are held in by one bolt and is very easy to replace, you have to get it from under the truck. Sensor 1 is located towards the front of the engine. ( This is a Generic Location for most of the Models. In your Car, it might be a different Location ).
I HAVE A OLDS BRAVADA - 992a13c.gif

You can inspect the wiring to the sensor to make sure its not chafed or cut, inspect the sensor to make sure the connector at the sensor is clean. If it checks out, then the sensor is most likely the problem.

Note - If the Code appears intermittently, it might be a Wiring issue.

If p0327 resets, then you may have a wiring issue. Make sure you clear the code if you replace the sensor, it will take a long time for the check engine light to go out after the sensor is replaced with out clearing the code.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I have a 2000 Olds intrigue, and am getting error codes P0410 and P0327. What are they telling me and how should I repair them?

P0410 is a code for the EGR Valve. This can be checked by pulling vacuum on the hose attached to it while the engine is running. If the engine struggles when you do, it is working fine. P0327 is a fault on the Knock sensor. More precisely, a low voltage on the Knock Sensor. This is more than likely a severed wire or faulty sensor. I would recommend taking care of the EGR code and see if that cures both issues.

Check engine light on - runs rough on idle

If you are a DIY'er you can get a OBDII scan tool that connects to your laptop that can tell you the error code and allow you to reset your check engine light. This will save you $80 each time over going to a mechanic for a diagnostic. They are easy to use and will help you know what the issues are if you do have to go to a mechanic.

Sometime the check engine light comes on if you did not fit your gas cap tight enough. You need a code reader to find out the error code to help solve your problem.

On my 2000 Olds Bravada, the ABS light came on and, almost simultaneously, the transmission disengaged.

Did you get a check engine light? If so, have someone read the code(s) stored in the car's computer - that will at least lead you down the right path.

I HAVE A 1991 OLDS bravada with a 4.3 v6. Service engine light comes on and reads code 42 {electronic spark timing or cicuit failure) I have changed dist cap wires, plugs and rotor button, but still is...

Hey, your right about code 42 being the Electronic Spark Timing. The Electric Spark Timing Bypass curcuit or EST circuit is either grounded or open. A malfunctioning HEI module can cause this code so I suggest maybe trying to replace the HEI module. Good luck!
