Question about 1998 Dodge Avenger
Looking for power tranistor made by mitsubishi for 98 sebring. internal distributor part. need to find out how to test it and where to get a replacement part if needed
The transister is an igbt. The leftmost lead is the gate, the middle lead is the collector and the rightmost lead is the emitter. The coil has +12v on the top and the transister drives the coil by sinking the bottom to ground though the emitter. You could test by momentarily bringing the gate positive and see if the coil is firing.
