The seat heaters are designed to heat up and once they hit a preset temp, they turn off. That said, if your won't stay on for even two minutes then you will have to replace the seat heater relay. The part is available at GMC dealerships and some auto parts stores.

Heated seat passenger side quit working press button and light comes on for about 30 seconds then goes off seat wont heat.

A common problem with seat heaters is broken heater elements. If you can get access to the connections you can check them with an ohm-meter to see if you have continuity or an open circuit.

2004 chevy. Heated seats will not stay on.

See GM TSB 05-08-143-001, If you have Adjustable pedals, especially if they dont; work with the memeory buttons, but function with thier own buttons. Its the Brake Pedal Position Sensor is shorted and mesing up the seat module which controls the heaters too. My 05 Suburban had the same issue.

Our Driver Seat Heaters and passenger seat will turn on for 2 sec

When this was happening on my Envoy it ended up being the seat heaters control module that was going out. About $600 a seat on mine. Just wish my repair center found that out before they replaced the seat heaters twice.

Heated seats

The body control module in this vehicle sees a short in the seat heater system. These vehiucles are typical of the heater wiring shorting out. When you try to use the bad heater the computer shuts off all the heaters.

You will need to install a new seat heater pad.
