Question about 1992 Cadillac Seville
I have a 1992 Cadillac Seville STS. My dash lights and displays only come on every once and awhile and only for a few minutes. Why? I have a gas gauge, speedometer, and a tach. The engine temp, battery voltage, trip, oil life index, odometer, and message center are digital, and the heater and air conditioning are somehow connected. Sometimes they will all work for a few minutes then turn off completly and the defrost will turn on afterward. I checked all the fuses under the hood and in the trunk as well as checked a few ground wires and relays. Is there anything else I can do myself before I have to take it to the dealer and pay them to fix it?
Theres not much u can do without the wiring diagrams, tools & knowhow on an intermittent electronic problem. I suggest u "bite the bullet" get it done properly. Theres a motherboard behind the dash that u have no way of checking on your own. Good luck

you need to have a pulley puller to get the pulley off if you don't have one most auto zone part stores have a loan a tool program and they can help you with that on most powersteering pumps the high pressure line will be a fitting or bolt on and the return line is usually just a squeeze clamp hope this helps good luck

First thing you have to do is list all the codes, because some some might be stored for a long time. Pushing the OFF and WARM buttons together and holding will ghive you all the stored codes. Then press OFF and HI together to clear all codes. Hold and wait for bars or 0's. Now start your car and let it get up to proper operating temps. Take car for aride that aincludes all phases of driving including highway speeds. Observe SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT for coming on . Assuming it does , repeat steps previously provided, read codes stored and repair accordingly. If need be contact me with new codes and I will try to assist you.

you will need to remove the parking brake cable from the caliper then remove the lower slide pin bolt, flip the caliper up and pull out the old pads and install the new ones. You should get the rotors machined for the best braking performance or replace them.

Very easy, just remove front tires and unbolt, BUT I doubt you are asking right question. Not mounts, but mount in dead front center is problem. There are 4 mounts, transmission center back, left center and right center and front center. That takes full torque of motor and heat from exhaust. GM has a shield for exhaust.

The flasher is hidden under the left (drivers) side of the dash, in the vicinity of the steering column.
