Question about 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera
This sounds like your brake light switch has failed. it should be located under the driver side dash attached to either the brake pedal arm or the bracket that the brake pedal arm stops at when the brake pedal is up. they are usually attached by a nut that unscrews and a 2 wire harness connector. if you have cruise control there may be 3 or 4 wires at the connector. some may have a couple of screws that it hold it to the bracket. when you replace the switch and it has the nut that screws on the switch, adjust it in or out so your brake lights go off when you release the brake pedal or your brake light may not turn off.
