Question about 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Tune up on most modern engines is fairly simple as far as parts go. Pretty much, it involves replacing the spark plugs, air filter, ignition wires, cap and rotor. if you have a pcv valve, that can also be replaced. If you have an orfice valve instead of a pcv, clean it out, I'd also buy a can of carb cleaner and use it to clean the throttle plate and inside of the throttle body, and, perhaps a can of injector cleaner. Your fuel filter is part of the pressure regulator and not easily replaced, though it's on the outside of the tank on top of the pump assembly. I'd leave it alone unless you are having a problem with it. While you are working, it's good to re-charge the battery, check all belts and hoses (including vacuum lines) and give everything a good look over. maintenance details can be found in most inexpensive manuals offered at larger parts stores.
