Be sure to check your tranny fluid since the repair...a low level will cause this. If over 100,000 miles a tranny fluid and filter change is recommended. Sometimes it can be the simple fix...hope this helps.

I had a similar problem thinking my tranny was slipping. Turned out it was the spark plugs miss firing, had 100,000 mi. Changed the plugs & wires problem went away.

My car just hit 100,000 miles and the trans is stuck in 2nd gear, any solutions

if its manual and you literally cannot pull the gear shifter out of gear, then when the engine is off, take off the parking brake, have someone rock the vehical back and forth gently while you keep the clutch depressed and try to take it out. then it should be towed (still in neutral might i add) to a shop. if this does not work with the clutch depressed, give it a shot with the clutch engaged (pedal all the way up)

Hi everyone! Transmission question. I have a 2009 CRV with automatic tranny and I happen to have to do a ton of parallel parking. Sometimes I gotta shifte between park drive and reverse about 30 times or...

should not hurt it,that trans.has shift solonoids, you will feel it shift between gears,if it has under 100.000 miles you can get it serviced,if it starts taking off in 2ond.have all the sol.replaced, not at a dealer but a good trans.shop

We have had some colder weather in colorado and I have found that when I back out of the drive way and put the car in forward gears (automatic) it does nothing. Sometimes it takes 20 - 30 seconds before it...

have you check the tranny fluid level yet?
I dont know how m,any miles are on your vehicle, but have you changed the filter and fluid in the tranny?
if I was going by just what you wrote I would say either the out put or in put sensors are affecting it.

Transmission fluid

you should change your fluid at or around every 100,000 miles. also look into changing the transmission filter when you change the fluid. IMPORTANT: if you are having transmission problems like a slipping gear of lack of gear, DO NOT change the fluid as it will most likely free up whatever is making your transmission work currently. take it to aamco and have them diagnose it, only if you are having trouble, otherwise changing the tranny fluid is something you can easily do in your driveway or garage.

Used 1990 Buick Riv trans slps in & outta gear; restart to engage

Not a computer issue. Transmission has problems could be filter stopping up, which also means problems.

Transmission sometimes shifts hard into next gear.

I would check the transmission and engine mounts but also it may be time for a transmission fluid change. It has a service interval just like oil. 50000 miles
