If your dryer doesn't tumble, check these: Belt Motor Door switch Belt Dryers have a drive belt that turns the clothes drum. If the belt breaks, the drum stops rotating. Then you need to replace the belt, and often the idler pulley, because the pulley tends to wear out at the same time. Click here for a belt installation diagram Motor If the dryer motor only hums when you press the Start button, the motor may be burned out. Here's how to test the dryer motor: Remove the belt. Check for obstructions in the blower fan housing. Manually rotate the shaft of the motor. If the motor is very stiff, or impossible to rotate manually, and the blower fan housing is clear, you need to replace the motor. If the motor rotates freely, run the motor momentarily with the belt removed and the blower in place. If the motor runs fine with the belt removed, there may be a problem with the idler pulley or the clothes drum. Try to rotate the drum by hand. If it is very difficult to move, correct any problem with the rollers or pulley, and then reassemble the dryer and try it again. If the motor hums but doesn't rotate on its own even with the belt removed--yet you can turn it freely by hand--you usually need to replace the motor or the motor start capacitor. Door switch Your dryer can't operate at all if the door switch is defective. It's inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

How do I wire up an viair 93980 80 amp heavy duty relay to the compressor in my truck

Al relays are wired up the same way. wires activate the coil that closes the relay points and once that is achieved then it is direct current to what ever you have hooked up. So the wires that come --power wire --from the switch ( what ever activates the relay) will be light wires and the other wires (from the battery to the compressor) will be heavy and of a gauge capable of carrying 80-90 amps continuously. Smaller wires will work but over a period of time say 5 minutes you will notice them getting hot and eventually the insulation will break down and you will have a short and/or fire

How do I unlock a 1985 salon electric door from the outside

use a plastic wedge, and seperate the door away from the jam to crfeate enuff space so you can get a heavy duty hanger through the space created. once you have that space, use the heavy duty (wire) hanger to reach in, and press the unlock button. screwdrivers can be used in place of the plastic wedge, but wrap them in a cloth so you dont chip the paint.

I have a Kenmore Dryer it works but will not tumble i'ts a heavy dudy super capacity 70 series modle 110-64742400 you may need this to dwjr-ele-2406028-fm54

When the drum won't turn and the dryer is otherwise working it's usually due to a broken belt. Open the front of the machine to inspect the belt.

  1. Under the lint door remove 2 screws
  2. Use flathead screwdriver to pry up the top lid
  3. In the middle of the drum should appear a belt, if you see it, pull on it. If it is loose it's fallen off the belt tensioner. If there's no belt of if the belt breaks in your hands, you need a new belt.
A sample of the typical belt routing for your machine is available at the link below:

My fan wont come on in my caravan dodge98

behind the drivers or passengers side head light in a hard place to get to, is a fan relay. its not really a fan relay, its really a transistor. these are the most common failure for this vehicle. But first unplug the fan connector and look for a burnt electrical connection, you may find that this is the problem, if so either wire around the connector or replace the pigtail on both sides. Keep in mind that this is a high amperage connection and good heavy duty wire connection have to be made, so if you don't have any heavy duty connectors and a good way to crimp them then take it to a pro. If the plug looks good and the fan relay is bad you can relocate the fan relay to the frame in a easier to get to place. But the fan relay must be bolted down tight and have dielectric grease under it to dissipate heat.

Electric dryer tumbles but no longer heats.

The first thing to check is the house electrical panel to see if the dual breakers for the dryer are tripped. Push off, then on--recheck the dryer. If still nothing, check for ~230 volts AC at the dryer power socket--two slanted slots. If nothing or near zero, remove the dryer power plug, and recheck the breakers again--if tripped again, there is a short in the dryer--usually the heating element located behind the drum. The drum must be removed to service the heater.

From the sound of things I would say that your heating element needs replacing, they dont last for ever, its worth while getting a repair man to replace it. your dryer should then work normally. I hope this helps.
