Does this mean that the freeze plug blew out and if so how do I find it and fix it

Check hoses to heater core before freeze plugs. If freeze plugs are leaking they are in the side of the engine block you can see if they add leaking or have been leaking. Look for deposits around plugs for proline leakage . You would also have overheating and lose of water from freeze plug failure.

Could freeze plugs cause my Lincoln navigator 5.4l engaging leak water from back of engine and oil from the side of engine

Yes, that is a possibility. I have a 4-liter V-6 in my 1993 Ford and it had two freeze plugs that had rusted and were leaking. It was easy enough to replace them because they were on the side of the block but I learned there are two freeze plugs hidden under the transmission bell housing. It they are leaking, antifreeze would be dripping off the back of the engine.

Freeze plugs should not cause oil leaks as they are a safety device for the water jacket.

How much dose a shop cost to repair freeze plugs

a 2005 should not have bad freeze plugs. I would try to look for other source of leak. but if it is freeze plug, figure about hour and a half to r&r starter to gain access to plug then approximately hour and a half to r&r freeze plug. I would figure that something else is leaking though.

Some antifreezon floor after i turn my ingine off on my caravan

Could be a radiator leak, a freeze plug leak, a loose hose clamp. If the freeze plugs leak, replace them all at once, not just the one leaking. All the freeze plugs are the same age, so sooner or later another will leak too

Got a slow leak at back side of motor not sure were from what all connects in that area and could freeze plugs have small leak or they just blow out

freeze plugs can get rusted and leak out coolant but if it is a freeze plug leaking, it will get worse. have you checked the intake manifold gaskets for a leaking problem. hope this steers you in the right direction.

Anti-freeze leaking from either the freeze plug or intake gasket. I need possible solutions. Tone Mac

Without knowing what year or engine size is, I/m just guessing??????? But the 3.1L engines are FAMOUS for intake maniflod gaskets leaking. Look where the intake bolts to the heads. A freeze plug is in the block. Freeze plugs dont leak unless you have been running pure water or weak/cheap anti-freeze. They will rust out from behind and its BIG BUCKS to replace them all.
