This is caused by a firmware bug in the body control module (BCM). Have your dealer perform Chrysler Service Bulletin 08-040-04. It describe the symptoms, the affected firmware versions, and the upgrade process. They'll probably charge 1 hour labor. We bought our 2005 T&C new, and the bug took over 3 years to show up. The firmware upgrade fixed it.

On these vans, if one actuator fails all the locks will stop working. assuming all the fuses are ok, you can use a scanner on these i think and test the functioning of each individual actuator.

SOURCE: right door pwr lock pwr

Check the cabling that goes from the firewall to the right door (open the door, and you will see it at the front of the door.)

Look for any damage to the cable its self, then check the connectors.

From tehre I would start checking power to the connectors.

Power door lock's are controlled by the BCM - body control module . Are you familiar with automotive electronic's ?
Door Lock System Components
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
• Driver door lock switch--Uses a single signal wire for both lock and unlock switch activations
• Front passenger door lock switch--Uses a single signal wire for both lock and unlock switch activations
• Body control module (BCM)--Class 2 module which requires programming when replaced
• Reversible door lock actuators in each of the doors
• Body control module PWR 15A fuse--Located in the body control module fuse panel, supplies power for the door lock system

Door Lock and Unlock Operation
The BCM PWR fuse supplies battery positive voltage to the BCM for the door lock system.
The BCM supplies and monitors a reference voltage to the door lock switch through the door lock switch lock/unlock signal circuit. The door lock switch also receives a constant ground source. If a door lock switch is placed in the lock position, the reference voltage is taken directly to ground and the BCM senses 0.0 volts on the signal circuit. If a door lock switch is placed in the unlock position, the reference voltage is taken to ground through a 1.5K ohm resistor that is internal to the door lock switches and senses approximately 2.9 volts on the signal circuit. This is how the BCM determines what portion of the door lock switch was activated.
The BCM, upon receipt of a door lock switch lock or unlock signal, will switch the appropriate door lock actuator control circuits to battery positive voltage. The opposing side of the door lock actuators are connected to ground internally within the BCM through the other door lock actuator control circuit and the doors will lock or unlock appropriately.
Vehicles without keyless entry have two internal drivers in the BCM to control the door lock actuators. All door lock and all door unlock. Vehicles equipped with keyless entry have three internal drivers in the BCM. Driver door unlock, passenger door unlock and all door lock. This is done to isolate the driver door lock actuator so it can be unlocked by itself using the keyless entry transmitter.

Rear doors won't open. How do I remove the door panel with door closed?

on most YR, make & models, roll down the window, R/R inner door handle , pop out pwr window switch / pwr lock switch w/ flat screwdriver. R/R Phillips screws from handle (usually 2 top 2 or 3 side screws). slowly work handle out from door, disconnect wiring clips (lock & window). W/ door open, remove panel by unclipping plastic retainers (hold down clips into the door from the back of the panel.) all around BOTTOM of the door. Next pop panel off the top of the side of the door from the top of the door. Same procedure to reinstall just reverse DON'T FORGET TO PLUG THE WIRING IN BEFORE YOU PUT THE HAANDLE BACK ON! THAT'S MORE WORK. GOOD LUCK. PS: IT'S EASIER THAN IT SOUNDS. FRANK fmxtwo@aol.com

The power locks on my 98 stratus work sometimes and most of the time they do nothing.would that be a bad switch?

Hi!!

If ALL door lock switches work sometimes, check the Pwr Locks relay, it may be defective. If ONLY a particualr door lock switch fails, first check wiring and connector, if OK, replace switch.

Don't forget to rate this answer, Good Luck!

99 Sienna pwr door lock failure

Sounds electrical/relay to me if you cannot lock by pressing the lock button on the door itself. Driver and passenger acting the same AND the remote all the same result point to only one culprit.
Let me know how it goes and best of luck!
