Looking up from the bumper you will see the 2 lights. Each light has 2 retainer screws. emove the screws and the lense and replace the bulb. Installation of the lense is the reverse of removal.

On "most" vehicles, the parking, tail, lic plate AND dash lights are all on the same circuit. Usually, the fuse will be labeld "park", "tail", or "illum".
If you have dash lights but no park lights, it's likely that there is a break in the wiring somewhere...

How do I replace a license plate light if I have a factory installed hitch installed? Does the lamp holder pop out from the bumper face?


you can get to the lic plate light bulbs from under the truck The bulb socket will twist out of the lamp . no need to remove the lamp. to replace the bulb with or with out a hitch.Most of the time when I try to remove the lamp I usualy break it and Ive been doing this for 25 yrs.

License plate light runs on your light system..if all other lights work....outside of car...u have either a bad bulb or bad wire ib Lic plate area

License plate bulb 99 alero


remove the 2 license lamp screws from outside,above the lic.plate then from insidethe trunk pull up the lic.lamp housing and replace the bulb.it should pull straight out

these lights are fused with all other tail lights so if all other lights are good then problem is in the lic plate lights themselves or the wiring to them

My lic. plate light went out and I need to replace it I have a 94 olds. cutlass ciera


ASE Mechanic here:
there should be some screws holding the lense in place above the plate. take those out and replace the bulb. I believe the bulb part number to be a 194.
