Question about 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager

1 Answer

Neither the power window nor the rear vent on the driver's side work. Is there a fuse for these? Window tries to "budge" so it seems as if the motor is working (it was replaced just this year). Rear vent doesn't seem to do anything. Both failures seem to have happened at the same time.

Check the harness going from the door to the inner fender for broken wires, this happens a lot due to the constant bending and flexing when the door is opened and shut. You will need to cut the plastic covering so be careful not to cut more deap than you have to to avoid further wire damage.

Can't find fuse for heated rear window, or relay for same. Also want to know where to find fuse for interior lights

The window defogger is often powered through a circuit breaker, which should be located at the driver's side fuse panel. If you have power at the window connector, likely the window grid may need repair. Toyotas have relays everywhere, but fuses are usually only under the hood in the Power Distribution Box, and at the driver's side fuse panel.

2001 olds aurora, no power to passenger side window modules..plugged them into driverside doors they work.. also tried pass. side window motors on d.s and they work fine, any idea on what wire is power....

If the driver window works, the 30A PWR WDO CB and the 10A DRVMDL fuse in the rear fuse block must be OK. The passenger window gets power from the 10A PASS MDL fuse and that should be checked. The rear windows get power from the 10A RRDR MDL fuse and that, too, should be checked. The same circuit breaker and fuses protect the door locks so replacement of the burned out fuses should clear up your problem

2004 honda odyssey rear window passenger side won't open

First check fuse #7 and #16 in the passenger side dash fuse box, however I've seen this happen allot on this body-style of Odyssey's. Here's a quick check you can perform: Operate the rear vent window switch and listen for a 'click' in the rear of the van next to the vent window. This is the relay 'clicking'. If you hear the relay 'Click' you now know that your getting power in the circuit. This means that the vent motor is faulty. This is a common failure and they usually go out in pairs, so the other side maybe on its way out too. If you don't hear the 'click' than you'll have pin test the multiplex control circuit for a fault.
-hope this helps

Rear driver's side large vent power window won't shut

There is a motor that actuates this. You need to get at it to test the wiring with a meter or test light to see if you have the power and ground to the motor when applying the switch. If you have power and ground there, the motor is bad.

Rear side windows

This may be just a case of inadvertently hitting the window lock out n th driver door window switch by mistake. Check that first. Here's some background on window operation

Principles of Operation
The driver power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the master window/door lock/unlock switch (and its integrated "auto down" module). Power is supplied to the power window relay and the master window/door lock/unlock switch, and the passenger power window switch when the SEC/timer module grounds the coil side of the power window relay. The SEC/timer module will ground this relay when the ignition is in the ON position and will remain energized for approximately 15 minutes or until the driver or passenger door is opened.
The driver power window regulator motor is a reversible motor that is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The passenger power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the passenger power window switch and can also be controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch.
The passenger power window regulator motor is a reversible motor, which is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The power rear quarter glass is also directly controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch. The power rear quarter glass power latches also utilize reversible motors. The power rear quarter glass power latches are operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to open the window, and then reversing polarity on those same leads to close the window.
