I will assume that you are referring to the clutch master cylinder , you bleed the system at the clutch slave cylinder located on the transmission bellhousing

How do I bleed a hydrolytic clutch on a 1989 Nissan d21 truck 4x4

There is a bleed valve on the slave cylinder that is on the transmission bell housing. Use an 8 or 10 mm wrench and loosen the valve, then snug it just hand tight. Now have someone depress the clutch pedal. As the pedal is depressed, loosen the bleeder and let air or fluid out. Close the valve as the pedal hits the floor, then repeat until a steady stream of brake fluid comes out of the bleeder as the clutch is depressed.

In many cases, the hydraulic clutch will gravity bleed when the bleeder valve is open. This is especially true if the fluid line from the clutch master cylinder (on the firewall) down to the slave cylinder is not bent up or around any objects, but is pretty much a straight drop down to the slave cylinder. If it won't gravity bleed by just opening the valve, have a helper work the clutch pedal as described. Remember to close the bleeder before letting the pedal up, so that air won't be sucked back in through the bleeder valve.

Where is the bleeder valve on 04 nissan maxima

There are 2.
One is on the side of the master, and one is located on top of the slave. Some aftermarket slaves have them on the bottom.

2001 maxima manual transmission problems Soft clutch, can't get car into gear. Is this a possible fluid leak?

Hi:
You need to check the fluid level in your clutch master cylinder. If it is low or empty, check for where the leak is. The clutch slave cylinder is mounted to the side of the transmission. You can try bleeding the system too, but most likely one of the two cylinders has failed internally, and needs replaced

1996 nissan maxima clutch sticks to floor

yes, Briong the pedal up where it belongs, then open an fill your master cylider. Then go below and open the bleeder intil the fluid runs/drips steady and free of any bubbles. Do not pump the pedal. When only fluid comes out, tighten/close the bleeder and give it a try. Good Luck. If peal dives again, replace the master cylinder.

How do I bleed the master clutch cylinder

Drain or bleed? The bleeder nipple is on the slave cylinder. Fill master cylinder, leave the cap loose, open the bleed nipple at the slave cylinder, and let gravity do the rest. whe vo more aie bibbles come out and it drips steady. Close the bleeder, top of the master cylinder and you are done.

How do I bleed the master clutch cylinder

It will take two people, one to push clutch peddel, and one to open bleeder, same as bleeding breaks, the person pushing peddel pumps peddel a few times and the last time holds to floor, other person opens bleeder to let air out, and then closes bleeder while peedel is still depressed, do this process over and over untill you get clutch or a steady stream of fluid with no air , while keeping an eye on fluid level in resavor.

Clutch

TRY BLEEDING THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FOR THE CLUTCH, EASY, FILL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER WITH DOT 3 BRAKE FLUID, FOLLOW LINES DOWN NEAR THE TRANS. WHERE CLUTCH PISTON MEETS ATTACH 1/4 CLEAR TUBING TO BLEEDER VALVE RUN HOSE UP TO A BOWL WITH 2" FLUID IN IT, HAVE SOMEONE PULL PEDAL OUT AND PUMP ON IT HOLDING PEDAL DOWN, RELEASE THE VALVE AND CLOSE IT, HAVE THE PERSON PULL OUT ON THE PEDAL AND PRESS IT DOWN AGAIN OPEN VALVE AND CLOSE IT , EVENTUALLY IT WILL BUILD PRESSURE AND GET ALL OF THAT PESKY AIR OUT OF THE SYSTEM, MAKE SURE THE MASTER CYLINDER DOESNT RUN OUT OF FLUID AND THAT THE TUBE DOESNT COME OUT OF THE BOWL OR YOU WILL HAVE TO START OVER, KEEP PUMPING UNTIL THE FLUID RUNS CLEAR WITH NO AIR BUBBLES THIS HAPPENED TO ME LAST WEEK AND NOW IM FIXED AND IT WORKED GREAT! I SUGGEST GETTING A HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL IT REALLY WILL SAVE U ALOT OF MONEY IN THE LONG RUN.
