Question about 2007 Ford Mustang GT California Special Convertible

1 Answer

I have a 2007 Mustang GT with 10k on it and although the dealer can't find a problem - I notice a hesitation (for 2 seconds) on slow acceleration after the car has been warmed up, parked and turned off... and turned on again to go back to work at lunch.... I know there's a TSB for the 05-06 for the fuel pump... but can't find anything on the 07+. I did have a fuel rail sensor problem early on they took care of as well. I am at the end of my rope - my dealer said they hooked it up, took it for a test drive and found nothing... any ideas?

Ask your dealer to check if there are any PCM reflashes available for this car, could be a programming glitch

Car wont accelerate

I would step on accelerator and the car would hesitate and half the time stall and shut off engine. I had the PCM flashed to more current software (tis s3114b8) and the car stopped hesitating and stalling. Cost 135 bucks at dealer although some shops can do it cheaper.

08? park in in the ford service driveway in front of the serve manager and leave it running. This is definately a warrentee issue. It sounds to be a sensor malfunction.which is part of emmidions which they should really deal with. Sorry.

During slow, steady acceleration, car feels like it is hesitating

change the fuel you are using. try some fuel system cleaner. this is a petty issue, every vehicle develops issues over time.a bmw owner complains about hestitations, a bmw driver enjoys the ride. DEAL WITH IT!!!
