Question about 2000 Hyundai Accent
Hi from uk easy enough job first disconnect battery earth lead then there is a slotted bracket thet is like on alternator adjuster using 12 mm spanner open end slacken off the bolt that is just behind thewater pump pully then the mounting bolt for the pump you can see below the pump ? slacken this now if you pull up the belt it will slacken and you can remove it this belt is small as it drives the p/steer pump from the outer pully of water pump fit new belt ensuring it fits correctly in grooves ? now using a suitable bar / flat tyre bar suitable position bar between p/steer pump and its mounting bracket that is bolted to side engine block lever gently to tighten belt and whilst holding bar leverage with belt adjusted ? tighten the adjuster slide bolt release bar and recheck belt tension ? retighten the lower mounting bolt also 12 mm job done! hope this helps ? ps you do not say if you have A/C but this is run of crank pully to a/c pump so no problem
