I would start by draining the tank and changing the filter. Then refill with good gas and see if it will run. The first few minutes may be rough as the lines will still have the bad gas in them. If it doesn't straighten out in about 5-10 miles of driving then you may have to change the plugs. If it's still running poorly maybe try some injector cleaner. Don't get too carried away with that stuff though, it's actually kind of hard on them.

Your filter may be holding some residual gunk in it. Try changing the filter and running some of that injector cleaner through it. If it was bad it's bound to have left some in there still. It's just going to take some time to straighten out. But the filter should help a bunch.

What causes power loss in a 1990 gmc 3500 Sierra 350 engine when start and going up hills

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter or air filter...common causes are air filter, or blocked air intake, dirty carb, bad plug, wires, distributer, distributer button, fuel filter, water in gas, old gas, plugged exhaust pipe and last but not least and believe it or not too much dirt under the gas peddle.... and in one case passing cable fell off the carb.

92 explorer 5miles a gallon awful, can anyone tell me how to pull codes on this without a scaner can i jump the wires in the plug and pull codes it has the older plug or why does this truck use so darn much...

You have to have it scanned. There is no other way. Bad spark plugs can cause bad fuel mileage. Check the fuel filter also. Make sure you don't have leaking fuel injectors. Make sure your vehicle is aligned correctly and you have proper tire pressure. You may need a tune up. Change air filter as well. Make sure you don't have a gas leak on the gas lines or any of the fuel components.

I have a 2000 ford mustang with a 3.8l v6. Well I know it had been sitting for a while. But anyways when I go to start it, it will try forever to start if I tap the gas while turning the key it will start...

yes your plug wires are bad. this sounds like a fuel system problem (ie plugged filter, flat injector weak pump) a good tune up will take care of it all. the Ford dealer will have all the correct factory parts as well as ford trained technicians to do the job right. also in today's market place you would be surprised how competitively priced they are.

Is this gas filter needed when car cuts off

it can be but their is many more various parts/components that do the same--bad gas--egr valve-restricted exhaust-air filter-fuel pump-catalytic converter--bad wires-plugs-etc. usually u will feel the loss of power on acceleration or feel the car starving for fuel --check fuel pressure or a fuel filter is easy and inexpensive enough to change and if it hasnt been done in a while good idea to do so

If the car has over 100,000 miles on it, you may need to replace the distributer. I don't think the bad gas caused this issue I think it may just be a coincdence. But if you already changed the plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor, I would definetly check the distributor.
